The story of Baaghi begins with Raghav Shetty, a powerful martial arts champion and ruthless don, who abducts Siya Khurana from a film set in Hyderabad and takes her to Bangkok. Siya’s father, P. P. Khurana, desperately seeks help from the authorities, but no one is willing to challenge Raghav’s influence, especially since there is no extradition treaty between India and Thailand.

Left with no choice, Khurana suggests turning to Ronny Pratap Singh, Siya’s former lover and a rebellious martial artist, who might be capable of confronting Raghav. At first Ronny hesitates, but he eventually agrees, needing money to support Subbu, a mute young boy undergoing treatment for his voice.

The narrative then moves into the past, showing how Ronny and Siya first met on a train. Ronny was instantly drawn to her, impressed not only by her beauty but also by her spirited and rebellious personality. Raghav, however, also set his eyes on Siya and desired her for himself. Following his late father Colonel Samarjit Singh’s wish, Ronny reluctantly enrolled in the Kalaripayattu Royal Academy in Kerala, run by Guruswamy, Samarjit’s old comrade and also Raghav’s father.

Initially reckless and undisciplined, Ronny was shaped by Guruswamy’s guidance into a skilled and disciplined martial artist, mastering the ancient art of Kalaripayattu. As time passed, Ronny and Siya grew closer and fell deeply in love, even as Raghav grew jealous and determined to have her.

Siya’s father, greedy and self-serving, accepted Raghav’s proposal after being lured by bundles of money. Upon realizing Siya was in love with Ronny, Khurana betrayed him and informed Raghav, who vowed to eliminate his rival.

Guruswamy overheard Raghav’s sinister plan and objected, but Raghav, humiliated and enraged, murdered his own father by poisoning him. Soon after, Ronny was targeted by Raghav’s henchmen, but he fought them off bravely. At Guruswamy’s funeral, Khurana, working in league with Raghav, created misunderstandings between Ronny and Siya, causing their relationship to fall apart and leaving them separated and heartbroken.

Returning to the present, Ronny travels to Bangkok and deliberately makes his presence known by defeating the strongest fighter in Raghav’s club, forcing Raghav to notice him. Raghav responds by sending his men to eliminate Ronny, but Ronny brutally overpowers them. Determined to find Siya, Ronny confronts Biju, Raghav’s right-hand man, and threatens his wife at gunpoint, compelling Biju to reveal her location. Disguised, Ronny rescues Siya from a hospital and they flee together.

They briefly find peace on an island, where Siya discovers her father’s betrayal and finally reconciles with Ronny, rekindling their love. Their reunion, however, is short-lived as Raghav and his men ambush them. In the violent clash, Biju shoots Ronny, who falls off a cliff, seemingly dead.

Raghav takes Siya back to his fortress, but soon discovers that Ronny is still alive. Furious at Biju for sparing his rival, Raghav kills him in a fit of rage. Meanwhile, Ronny storms into Raghav’s heavily guarded building, fighting through waves of armed men in a display of relentless martial arts prowess. He defeats every opponent, using both skill and sheer willpower, until he finally reaches Raghav.

Their confrontation is intense, with Raghav initially overpowering Ronny. In the midst of the battle, Raghav boasts that he was behind Guruswamy’s death, enraging Ronny. Drawing strength from his master’s memory, Ronny unleashes Guruswamy’s signature techniques, turning the fight around. In a climactic moment, Ronny defeats Raghav and kills him, finally avenging his mentor’s murder.

With Raghav gone, Siya and Ronny are reunited, free from the shadows of betrayal and violence. In the end, Ronny returns to Kerala and takes on the role of teacher at Guruswamy’s martial arts school, continuing his master’s legacy. The rebel has finally found his cause, his love, and his purpose.
