Baaghi 2 is a power-packed action thriller that blends romance, mystery, and emotional drama with high-octane action. Directed by Ahmed Khan, the film is an official remake of the Telugu movie Kshanam but reimagined with Bollywood-style mass entertainment. Tiger Shroff shines in the role of Captain Ranveer “Ronny” Pratap Singh, delivering intense action sequences, jaw-dropping stunts, and solid screen presence. His chemistry with Disha Patani adds a softer emotional layer to the otherwise action-heavy narrative.

The film’s strength lies in its technical finesse—slick cinematography, explosive action choreography, and impressive stunt work. However, the script is uneven at times, especially in the first half, where the pacing feels sluggish and the mystery buildup stretches longer than needed. The supporting cast, including Manoj Bajpayee, Randeep Hooda, and Deepak Dobriyal, elevate the drama with their strong performances.

Despite mixed critical reviews, audiences were drawn to the film’s action spectacle and emotional twists, making it one of the biggest blockbusters of 2018. While it might not offer the tightest storytelling, it thrives as a masala entertainer with all the elements—romance, action, betrayal, and a shocking revelation.

Full Story

Ronny, an Indian Army captain, receives a desperate call from his ex-girlfriend Neha, who tells him that her daughter Rhea has gone missing. Still harboring feelings for her, Ronny travels to Goa to help. When they meet, Neha reveals that nobody—including her husband Shekhar and family—believes Rhea exists, making Ronny question her sanity.

Ronny begins investigating and soon discovers a dangerous web of lies. He learns that Shekhar’s brother Sunny, a drug addict, may have been involved. Digging further, Ronny crosses paths with Usman Langda, a travel agent connected to drug peddling, and DIG Ajay Shergill, a high-ranking officer with suspicious ties.

Tragedy strikes when Neha, unable to bear the disbelief surrounding her daughter, commits suicide in Ronny’s presence. Determined to uncover the truth, Ronny intensifies his search. Along the way, he uncovers a conspiracy led by Shergill, who has been secretly working with Shekhar in drug trafficking. Shergill admits that Rhea was hidden as part of their plan, and Neha’s family was forced to pretend the girl never existed to mentally torture her.

In a gripping climax, Ronny engages in a brutal showdown against Shergill’s forces, destroying helicopters and taking down entire squads despite heavy injuries. Eventually, Shergill is killed, and Shekhar is arrested. It is then revealed that Shekhar was sterile, meaning Rhea could not be his child. The truth dawns on Ronny: Rhea is his own daughter, born from his last meeting with Neha before her marriage.

The film ends on an emotional note as Ronny meets Rhea, seeing Neha’s smiling reflection in her eyes—signifying both closure and a new beginning.
