But in his own palace, his young son Prahlad refuses to bow to him. Instead, Prahlad chants the name of Lord Vishnu, declaring his devotion even under the threat of death. Hiranyakashyap’s fury grows as he subjects Prahlad to fire, drowning, and wild beasts, yet the boy is miraculously protected by divine grace.
