Full Story:

The movie centers on Maya (played by Sonakshi Sinha), a rational and intelligent author known for her investigative work exposing fraudulent supernatural phenomena. Maya has built her career on scientific reasoning and skepticism, refusing to believe in anything that cannot be explained by logic.

One day, Maya receives a call about a strange case in a remote village where people claim to be haunted by an unexplainable presence. Despite her doubts, Maya decides to visit the village to investigate, hoping to uncover a hoax or a natural explanation.

Upon arrival, Maya meets a group of locals who are terrified by mysterious events—objects moving on their own, eerie sounds at night, and shadowy figures seen near an old mansion on the outskirts of the village. The villagers insist the house is cursed, and several people have vanished without a trace.

As Maya digs deeper, she encounters Arjun (Arjun Rampal), a skeptical police officer assigned to the case, and Dr. Verma (Paresh Rawal), an expert in folklore and mythology. Together, they explore the mansion and the surrounding forest, collecting clues and testimonies.

At first, Maya explains all phenomena through scientific causes—drafts causing doors to slam, natural animal sounds mistaken for ghosts, and psychological hysteria fueled by fear. However, the deeper she investigates, the more unexplainable events occur—visions of ghostly figures, strange symbols appearing on walls, and inexplicable disappearances.
